If you've already seen the power of Microsoft 365 Copilot—summarizing, drafting, and retrieving information with ease—you're ready for what's next: intelligent agents that automate tasks and guide users through complex workflows.
Agents are no-code AI tools built into Microsoft 365 that act like digital coworkers. They help streamline business processes, reduce repetitive work, and support teams across departments like HR, IT, Finance, and Operations.
This Microsoft Official Course (MS-4019) is designed for professionals who want to move beyond prompting and start building. You'll learn how to create, manage, and share Microsoft Copilot Agents securely, all without writing a single line of code.
In just one day, you'll explore real-world use cases, collaborate with peers, and get expert guidance on how agents can drive efficiency and innovation across your organization.
🗣️ Instructor-led: All of our classes are live with a Microsoft Certified Trainer, that way you can benefit from an immersive and collaborative environment. Instructor-led training is still the best way to learn.
This is a INTERMEDIATE level course for ANYONE that uses Microsoft 365 (previously known as Microsoft Office).
Prior experience with Microsoft Copilot or AI is recommended.
This is a bring-your-own-software class. To get the most out of the course, you should have an active Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription.
Info: The day begins with a welcome and overview of the course objectives. Students are introduced to the concept of agents in Microsoft 365, the structure of the course, and the tools they’ll be using. This session sets expectations, explains the “Bring Your Own Subscription” (BYOS) model, and ensures everyone is ready to engage with the hands-on labs and discussions throughout the day.
Info: This session introduces the foundational concepts of agents in Microsoft 365 Copilot. Students learn what agents are, the different types available, and how they can be used to support business processes. A short video and guided discussion help students connect the concept of agents to their own work environments, setting the stage for deeper exploration in later modules.
Info: Take a breather and enjoy some liquid refreshments. It's a great time to stretch your legs, chat with fellow participants, and recharge for the next session.
Info: Students dive into hands-on labs using prebuilt agents like the Analyst and Researcher. They’ll analyze a sample data file, explore how agents handle complex queries, and learn how to prompt effectively. This session emphasizes experimentation, encouraging students to try multiple agents and reflect on how these tools can be applied in their own roles.
Info: Enjoy a 1-hour lunch break. Grab a bite and relax before we dive back into the afternoon sessions.
Info: In this extended session, students learn how to create their own agents in Copilot Chat and SharePoint. With no coding required, they’ll define agent behavior, configure knowledge sources, and test their creations. The focus is on practical application—students build agents tailored to their own business needs and refine them through iteration and feedback.
Info: Another chance to refresh with some drinks and snacks. Use this time to network, share insights, and get ready for the final modules of the day.
Info: We’re continuing and wrapping up the agent creation process, finalizing your configurations and testing your agents for real-world use.
Info: This session covers how to securely share agents across teams and departments. Students explore best practices for deployment, governance, and adoption. A video and discussion prompt help them think through real-world use cases and how to scale agent usage within their organization.
Info: To close out the day, we’ll review key takeaways from each module and invite students to share their insights, questions, and ideas for applying agents in their own work. This is also a time for feedback on the course experience and discussion of next steps.
